Thanks for coming to my new site! I’m a huge fan of online poker, and I will be updating this blog on a regular basis with poker articles. In this post I will write about Tiger Gaming, a skin of the Action Poker network. Please note that this site does not accept wagers from Americans.
Tiger Gaming features a clean looking site that is easy on the eyes. Similar to the PokerStars bonus code, there is a large deposit bonus, and you should be able to clear it in a short period of time. You should find the customer support helpful when you need something taken care of. What makes Tiger Gaming unique from other sites is that it has a number of special games that you can’t find in any other poker room. Such games include Chinese Poker (very addictive), Pan, Guts (my favorite), and Big 2 (a classic). You won’t find Internet slots here, but the other games are so fun that you won’t want to waste your time with casino games anymore.
In addition to the unique games mentioned, Tiger Gaming has Limit and No Limit Holdem, Omaha and extremely low traffic 7 Card Stud tables.
Tiger Gaming has targeted Canadians in their recent ad campaigns, encouraging consumers to try online poker in commercials on various TV networks. Presumably they considered Canada a good place to recruit players to money poker sites. Because of this, many of the players on the site are Canadian, and they don’t have lot of experience at the game.
Sometimes you’ll find there aren’t that many games running, especially if you play mid or high stakes. But if you are a low stakes player just getting started on download free poker sites, you should be able to find plenty of action from 2 to 25NL. It is common for there to be between three and six NL25 tables open and between four and eight NL5 tables. The same can’t be said for finding 50NL tables. If you are lucky there will be one open, on rare occasions two tables. Finding no-limit games higher than this is next to impossible. Sometimes there will be a NL100 available but very rarely. I have never seen the NL1000 table populated in my time at the site, so players at these stakes will need to download Full Tilt Poker.
I will just go ahead and tell you that the traffic for the other games is pretty awful. 7 Card Stud is offered but it never runs. Omaha is almost as bad. Occasionally there is one table of Omaha running, and it’s usually Pot Limit with 20 cent blinds. If your game of choice is not Texas Holdem, it might be better to download PokerStars instead. If we’re talking about the unique games (like Big 2), you won’t have trouble finding a game during the busy hours. As Tiger is the only site that offers them, the traffic is reasonable. My favorite game, Guts, often runs two or three tables at once, and the minimum bet is usually from 10 to 50 cents.
If you want to play low stakes on Tiger Gaming, the traffic and games are not bad. If you’re new to poker, I would recommend that you increase your bankroll at Tiger and then go ahead and try a Bwin Poker download when you want some stiffer competition.
